ELS are pleased to announce that James Madison University (JMU) has joined our ELS Language Centers University and Career School Cooperative Program.  JMU is a public university in Virginia’s prestigious educational system.

ELS welcome this great opportunity for your students to access JMU’s highly respected undergraduate academic programs, such as Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, and Computer Science. US News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges 2007 ranks James Madison University as #2 overall among institutions in the category University-Master’s (South). 

JMU will issue a Conditional Letter of Admission to our academically-qualified students, stating that upon passing ELS Level 112 (in lieu of taking the TOEFL or IELTS tests), they will be granted full acceptance to the University. They have agreed to provide rolling admissions for applicants through the ELS University Placement Service and are already giving fast replies to our applications. Since this is a selective university, ELS recommend that you only send applicants that have solid grades, such as the equivalent of a 3.0 / 4 Grade Point Average (or a “B” average).
  
James Madison University’s beautiful 191-hectare campus lies between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Alleghenies in the Shenandoah Valley, just 2 hours from the nation’s capital Washington, D.C. It is located in the small city of Harrisonburg, which provides a welcoming and safe environment for your students. The Shenandoah Valley is a tourist destination well-known for its beauty and outdoor recreation.

The nearest ELS center will be our new location in Washington, D.C., where our students will have access to many of American University’s facilities. Both Charlotte and Philadelphia are in reasonable distance to JMU as well. Our partnership with JMU will provide an exciting, well-rounded American experience for our international students.
